2026 State Of The State
May 20, 2026(ALDEN) - Governor Rigg Wednesday morning announced that he would be meeting with President Jay Laylin at the Governor's Mansion to discuss oil drilling and federal authorizations to drill oil from the Eastern reaches of the Sea of Jesstinian. The meeting was scheduled for last month but longstanding scheduled meetings would have conflicted with President Laylin and Governor Rigg's schedule.
Governor Rigg said that he "looks forward to meeting with President Laylin in Nox," calling the meeting "necessary for lowering fuel costs for all North Lorrayans." Governor Rigg and President Laylin share extremely good relations, as the two have remained strong allies and friends of one another. The two men will also discuss opening the Federal Oil Reserve to private North Lorray oil distributors.
"This meeting will be important to help lower the cost of gas in the State and we hope that the talks will yield special permitting for North Lorray to drill oil in federally managed waters," said Governor Rigg. "President Laylin will work rigorously to ensure that a tentative agreement can be made."
