March 21, 2026(ALDEN) - Governor Joey Rigg this morning signed an executive action requiring the banning of hiring based on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies of companies and requiring employers to hire on merit and experience rather than race, color, creed or gender.Â
Governor Rigg campaigned on ending DEI programs within the State of North Lorray, and is keeping to that promise by banning it altogether.
"Hiring shouldn't be based on someone's skin color, but on their experience. If a person of color is experienced, and has the qualifications, they should be doing the job," said Governor Joey Rigg. "Same goes for if a person of color has less experience than a white or another ethnicity, than they shouldn't be hired. It is a really basic thing to understand."
